Teacher Apprenticeships

The Ohio Department of Higher Education has created a Teacher Apprenticeship Program with the goal of developing quality educators to meet the needs of our students, districts, and communities. It is hoped that by supporting educator candidates through a more collaborative and cost-effective pathway to the teaching profession, and by removing other traditional systemic barriers, a more diverse candidate pool may strive to join the teaching profession. Districts interested in becoming a site for apprentices or individuals interested in becoming an apprentice should email questions to EdApprentice@highered.ohio.gov for the latest information.
